European Junior Cup set to continue in 2012

The 2012 European Junior Cup was officially launched at the Portimao World Superbike round in a press conference held by SBK General Manager Paolo Ciabatti together with Kawasaki European race planning manager Steve Guttridge and the EJC series director Gerry Bryce. The series has been deemed a great success, with all the young EJC riders having advanced their skills dramatically through the season and with several riders from this season now graduating into the Superstock 600 class for 2012.

For next season the championship will see an increase in the number of race rounds, from six to eight, and an extra 15 minutes of free practice time. With the support of all parties involved the entry fee has been maintained at the same level of 2011, thus providing an affordable entry level into international racing for young riders from all around the globe.

EJC Calendar 2012: 1. Assen (22 April); 2. Monza (06 May); 3. Misano (10 June); 4. Aragon (01 July); 5. Brno (22 July); 6. Silverstone (05 August); 7. Nurburgring (09 September); 8. Magny-Cours (07 October)
